The collection consists of a large amount of personal correspondence between Canfield and members of his family, particularly his wife Augusta. Also included is business correspondence of the Bradley and Canfield Company, a diary of Augusta from before her marriage, several ephemeral items such as tickets and invitations, deeds to Canfield family property, and several items from Thomas Canfield.
